Ham & Beans

Try this easy pot of white beans on the next chilly day your around the house.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb. white beans soak in salt water for 2-4 hours it takes the gas out!, drain
  • 1 can black beans drained
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 4 slices of bacon chopped
  • 4 tsp. Tuscan Ellbee’s Garlic
  • 2 lbs ham hocks find meaty ones
  • 8 cups water

Method
 

  1. In stock pot saute’ bacon, onion, and Ellbee’s until onion is clear.
    1 medium onion, 4 tsp. Tuscan Ellbee’s Garlic, 4 slices of bacon
  2. Add white beans, black beans, hocks and water.
    1 lb. white beans, 1 can black beans, 2 lbs ham hocks, 8 cups water
  3. Simmer on medium high covered for 2-3 hours, stir occasionally.
  4. Turn heat off, leave lid on until ready to serve.
  5. Make a pan of cornbread and call them in for dinner!
