Sweet & Smoky Cedar-Plank Salmon

Sweet & Smoky Cedar-Plank Salmon

This is the cedar-plank salmon you make when you want the grill to do a little showing off. Sweet & Smoky Gourmet Garlic, Honey Ginger Balsamic and a gentle herb oil create a lacquered finish that is smoky, bright and beautiful enough to carry the whole table.
Servings: 4 servings
Course: Mains

Ingredients

Method

  1. Preheat the grill for medium-high indirect heat. Place the salmon, skin-side down, on the soaked cedar plank. Brush with Basil Olive Oil and season with Sweet & Smoky Gourmet Garlic, salt and pepper.
  2. Simmer Honey Ginger Balsamic and honey in a small saucepan until thickened slightly. Grill the salmon with the lid closed until it flakes at the thickest point, 15 to 20 minutes.
  3. Brush the salmon with the glaze during the final five minutes. Let it rest on the plank for three minutes, then finish with dill and charred lemon before serving.

Notes

Time: 30 min + soak
Kitchen tip: No grill? Put the soaked plank on a foil-lined sheet pan and roast at 400°F until the salmon flakes easily.
