Chili-Lime Avocado Burgers
These burgers have the right kind of attitude: smoky chile-lime beef, melting pepper jack, tangy pickled onion and cool avocado in every bite. It is a casual cookout burger that eats like it has a little chef behind it.
Ingredients
Method
- Toss red onion with Ellbee's Peach White Balsamic Vinegar and a pinch of salt; set aside to quick-pickle while you make the burgers.
- Gently mix beef, Ellbee's Chili Lime Gourmet Garlic, Worcestershire, salt and pepper. Form six patties with a shallow dimple in the center of each.
- Brush patties with Ellbee's Garlic Olive Oil. Grill over medium-high heat 4 to 5 minutes per side for medium, adding pepper jack for the final minute so it melts into the edges.
- Build burgers with mayonnaise, lettuce, the cheesy patty, avocado and quick-pickled onion. Serve hot with extra lime if you have it.
Notes
Time: 35 min
Kitchen tip: The little dimple in the middle prevents a burger from puffing into a meatball on the grill.
