Chili-Lime Pizza Rye Bites
These retro party bites get a fresh Good-to-Gourmet reboot with zesty sausage, tangy tomato, chili-lime garlic, and a perfectly crisp rye base. Make the tray ahead, freeze it, and bake exactly as many as the moment requires.
Ingredients
Method
- Heat oven to 375°F. Brown sausage and ground beef in a skillet, breaking it into small crumbles. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in Zesty Garlic, Chili Lime Garlic, tomato sauce, Tomato Basil Balsamic, and cheese. Cook over low heat until the cheese is just melted and the mixture holds together.
- Arrange party rye on a sheet pan and spoon the warm topping onto each slice. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, until the bread is crisp and the topping is bubbling.
- Finish with tomato and parsley, then serve hot. Freeze unbaked topped rounds in a single layer for an easy future snack tray.
