Good-to-Gourmet Seven-Layer Salad
All the nostalgia of the glass-bowl classic, with a fresher, more flavor-forward finish. Crisp lettuce, cauliflower, tomatoes, peas, bacon and cheddar get layered under a creamy Tuscan dressing that turns this into the first salad people actually ask for seconds of.
Ingredients
Method
- In a small bowl, whisk mayonnaise, Greek yogurt, Ellbee's Rosemary Olive Oil, Ellbee's Champagne Balsamic Vinegar, Ellbee's Tuscan Gourmet Garlic and Dijon. Season with salt and pepper; it should be creamy, tangy and bright.
- Layer the romaine, cauliflower, tomatoes, onion, peas, bacon and cheddar in a large clear serving bowl. Spread the dressing all the way to the edge so it acts like a flavorful seal.
- Cover and chill for at least two hours, or overnight. Toss just before serving so every layer gets a little of everything.
Notes
Time: 25 min
Kitchen tip: Keep the bacon separate until just before serving if you want the crunch at its absolute best.
